The American is an upcoming thriller, and has been directed by Anton Corbijn. The movie is about an assassin who hides in the lush and green hills of Italy. He puts himself away from the sight of others, because one of his assignments goes wrong, although unintentionally. His journey starts when a woman sends him in the age-old alleys of Italy. The woman who has hired him is a woman with many layers to here, who will not accept any mistake on this project. Here in this city, he meets Armagnac who is a priest and confesses all many things about his life. During the confessional sessions he revealed all those clandestine issues, which were not to be revealed. In this old town, he lives every emotion - happiness, peace, action and danger, and to top it all, he finds love in a local beauty.
