The Other Guys is written and directed by famous writer and director, Adam McKay. It is an upcoming action comedy which depicts a fictional Police Department of New York. The movie basically deals with two main plots; first is about the real heroes and the second is centered on the other guys. The real heroes are Danson and P.K. Highsmith who are smart detectives with smart strategies. Gamble and Hoitz want to be a super detective. In the movies Gamble and Hoitz are not presented as the real hero they are ‘The Other Guys’, who want to work for bigger projects. Terry Hoitz and Allen Gamble get the chance to solve those cold cases which no other detective wants to handle. Though to some extent they have the potential but they are unable to prove this, because they didn’t get a chance to prove it. Due to this, most of the time they have been looked down upon by other team members. These are those cases, which were closed few years ago due to their complications.
